Couples Counseling
When relationships are in trouble people begin to question themselves and their partners. They often ask, "Are we meant to be together, can we be happy?"Most relationships aren’t perfect. There are inherent difficulties; relationships are the product of the combination of two separate individuals; each bringing in his or her own history, values and opinions, many of which do not perfectly match their partner's. Relationships take commitment, work and time. Many couples become stuck in negative ways of communicating with each other and they find it difficult to break out of these patterns. Often couples avoid conflict and resentment can build up over time.
Couples Counseling is a way to restore trust in a safe environment while learning to communicate effectively and resolve conflicts. Whether a relationship is ending or trying to re-kindle, Couples Counseling can help to resolve these and other questions. It can help each client to come to terms with the future as well as the past. Couples Counseling is a collaboration of both partners communicating and implementing tools learned in session to make an informed decision in moving forward. |

Family Counseling
For many parents, the reality of being a parent is much more conflicted. Your love for your child may be overshadowed by feelings of exhaustion, anger, guilt and sadness. You may feel numb or distanced from your child and fear that being honest about those feelings leaves you open to judgment from your spouse, family or friends. Family Counseling can help you bridge that distance and create a relationship with your child that celebrates the joys, accepts the frustrations and embraces the complex array of emotions that being a parent brings. |
Family therapy can repair strained relationships and strengthen family connections, improving your family’s ability to function as a whole.
